Heritage Steward Volunteers

Heritage Steward Training

Hastings heritage is celebrated by professional and amateur historians who write about , research, and share our history, and celebrate events unique to our town. There are many active groups and individuals already in Hastings. Our volunteer programme offers free training, and a way for all of you to share your local knowledge.

The Heritage Steward Programme

We are offering a curated programme of training for anyone interested recording and celebrating the buildings and spaces in the Trinity Triangle.

We have identified 2 “micro” roles supported by Heart of Hastings under our volunteer policy.

These are: Ambassador and Web Archivist

Heart of Hastings Volunteers principles include: Access to training, support with out of pocket expenses,  at least 1 specified point of contact,  chances to meet and chat with other heritage stewards, individualised support based on your interests and needs.

The Heritage Action Zone project is for the people of Hastings so we are especially keen to hear from people who are already interested in local history and are willing to share your learning with others.
